- 1/2 cup Fresh Blueberries
- 1 cup Whole Wheat Flour
- 3/4 cup Brown Sugar
- 1 teaspoon Cinnamon
- 3/4 cup Buttermilk
- 1 large Egg
- 2 melted tablespoons Butter
In a large bowl mix the flour, cinnamon and sugar; beat in the egg, butter, and blueberries
Mix until wall combined and add batter to your non-stick waffle iron.
Cook for 3 minutes for heart-shaped waffle * time may need to be adjusted for a larger waffle
This recipe will only make enough servings for 2* or 8 small heart-shaped waffle
These waffles are very cake-like so they are heavier and filling! I suggest enjoying them with a pad of quality butter such as Finlandia Imported Butter and some maple syrup because sometimes the blueberries are a little tart.
