Garlic Bacon Sauteed Green Beans Made With Lard

A flavorful way to enjoy fresh green beans. The flavor of the bacon, and garlic, paired with the crunch of the almonds makes this a must-have side dish.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb raw green beans trimmed, and washed
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 1 tablespoon Armour Premium All-Natural Lard
  • 1/4 cup slivered almonds
  • 2 slices bacon

Instructions

  • In a stock put add some water to the pan and steam the green beans for 3 mins. to get them tender.
  • Add Lard to a large skillet.
  • Add in garlic cloves and bacon, and pan fry for 2 mins over medium heat.
  • Drain, and add in green beans, and pan fry for an additional 10 mins or until bacon is crispy and green beans are tender.
  • Add in almonds, and mix - cook for 1 min.
  • Add green beans to a serving dish and enjoy warm.
