Bacon Wrapped Chicken Strips
A sweet and spicy oven-baked chicken recipe that is less calories than it's fried counterparts.

- 1 1/2 lbs chicken strips
- 1 package bacon we used chicken bacon *you can use your favorite.
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1/2 tsp cumin
- 1/2 tsp chili powder
- 1/2 tsp Herbs de Provence
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1 tsp olive oil
Prepare a large baking sheet with parchment paper, place a grate on top of your pan to catch the grease. This will also keep your dippers crispy and not soggy.
Heat oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.
Cut chicken strips into 1/2 inch thick strips about 2 inches in length; coat with oil
Cut bacon into thirds.
Wrap bacon around your chicken strips.
Coat each with the spices mixture.
Coat each with brown sugar.
Bake for 50 mins or until bacon is crispy
Serve with honey mustard dipping sauce.
Make honey Mustard Dipping Sauce
- 3/4 cup of regular mayonnaise
- 3 tablespoons honey
- 2 tablespoon yellow mustard
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
Directions:
Whisk all the above ingredients until smooth and creamy; refrigerate until consuming.
Recipe Tips
You can use any type of bacon for this recipe.
Mixing the brown sugar with the spices will make dipping easier.
Parchment paper prevents the brown sugar from making your baking sheet super sticky.
You can skip the brown sugar if you want to keep to keep this recipe low-carb.
Cesar, or ranch dressing makes a good keto or low-carb dipping sauce.
