Bacon, Spinach Caramelized Onion Pasta

- 6 ounces of whole wheat penne pasta
- 4 ounces of chopped bacon
- 1 large yellow onion diced
- 2 tablespoons of butter
- 2 tablespoons of brown sugar
- 1 cup generousof spinach
- salt, pepper, garlic powder to taste
- 1/2 cup of Parmesan cheese sprinkles
In a large skillet, add your bacon and cook for 1-2 mins until bacon is halfway done
In that same pan, and some butter, sugar, spices, and onion; sautee until the onion becomes tender, and bacon starts to crisp up.
Boil pasta in salted water until al dente
Once the pasta is done, drain it loosely, but leave a tiny amount of water and add it to the skillet with the bacon, and onion mixture.
Mix in the spinach and stir until tender
Sprinkle with Parmesan before serving.
