Pretzel Bites with Cinnamon & Sugar
Pretzel Bites with Cinnamon & Sugar are made with pizza dough, and are flash boiled, and baked. They are then brushed with butter and rolled with cinnamon and sugar. Served with homemade icing, they are a delicious sweet treat.

- 11 oz pizza dough
- 1/2 cup baking soda
- 3 quarts water
- 1 egg beaten
- 1 tbsp cinnamon
- 1/2 cup white sugar
Icing
- 1 cup powdered sugar add more if too thin
- 1 tbsp water add more if too thick
Preheat oven to 425 degree fahrenheit.
Add 3 quarts of water and baking soda to a medium stockpot and heat to a boil.
Unwrap pizza dough and stretch the dough out into two long strips.
Cut out nuggets size chunks of dough.
Add half the dough to the boiling water, and boil for 30 seconds.
Once first batch is done, remove using a slotted spoon and place them on a paper towel; repeat until all dough is flash boiled.
Dip each chunk into the egg wash and place them on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
Bake at 425 degrees fahrenheit for 14-15 minutes.
Whisk cinnamon and sugar together in a medium bowl.
Once bites are done in the oven, brush each warm piece of dough with butter, and coat with cinnamon and sugar.
To make icing, whisk ( with a fork) the powdered sugar and water. If it is to thin add a tablespoon more of sugar, and if it is too thick and a teaspoon more water.
Place them in a bowl and serve warm with icing.
