Double Chocolate Chip Peppermint Cookies is a delicious Christmas cookie hack you can make with refrigerated cookie dough and semi sweet chocolate morsels. It is a perfect dessert to make on a whim.

  • baking sheet

  • 18 ounces cookie dough
  • 12 ounces semi-sweet chocolate chip morsels
  • 1/2 cup crushed candy canes


  • Preheat oven according to cookie dough instructions.
  • Bake cookies according to package instructions.
  • While cookies are baking, melt chocolate morsels in a microwave-safe bowl in 30 second intervals, stirring in-between each round.
  • Once chocolate is smooth set asides.
  • When cookies are done baking allow to cool for 10 minutes.
  • Once cooled, chip each into the creamy chocolate and sprinkle each with peppermint; repeat until all are done.
