Easy, Zesty Lemonade Glaze and Cake Mix Upgrade

A delicious and easy recipe for a zesty lemonade cake glaze using Crystal Light lemonade mix. This is a simple trick for turning an ordinary cake into a zesty lemon flavored dessert! It is perfect for anyone who loves the taste of lemon or lemonade.

Bundt Cake

  • 1 box Lemon Cake Mix
  • 1 tsp Crystal Light Lemonade Mix regular variety


  • 1 tsp Crystal Light Lemonade Mix regular variety
  • 1-1/2 cups Confectioners Sugar
  • 1-1/2 tbsp Whole Milk more if you want a thinner icing


  • Prepare your lemon cake mix according to the box instructions. Add an additional teaspoon of Crystal Light Lemonade powder to the batter.
  • Bake according to the box instructions. Mine took 28 minutes. I suggest checking your cake on the lower end of the time scale.
  • After the cake is completely cooled, remove it from the bundt pan, and set it on a slotted cooling rack for icing. (The rack will allow excess icing to drip off.)


  • Add confectioner's sugar, lemonade mix, and milk to a bowl.
  • Mix until creamy. If you'd like a thinner glaze add another tablespoon to thin it up.
  • Drizzle the glaze over the top of the bundt cake.
