Ingredients

  • 2 cups white flour
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 1/3 cup brown sugar
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1 tsp nutmeg
  • 1 tsp cloves
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • 1 stick of butter
  • 3 tablespoons milk
  • 2 tsps vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup pumpkin puree

Icing

  • 2 tablespoons milk
  • 2 cups powdered sugar

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 400 degrees.
  • Place parchment paper on baking sheet.
  • In a large bowl mix all the dry ingredients.
  • Add cubed butter to flour mixture, and work flour into beads using your clean hands.
  • Mix all the wet ingredients in together.
  • Pour into the dry ingredients, and mix until combined,
  • Using additional flour, flour the parchment paper, a dough cutter, and your hands.
  • Move dough to the parchment, and form into a circle.
  • Using a floured cutter, cut dough into 8 triangles.
  • Gently separate them on the sheet.
  • Bake for 13-15 mins or until done.
  • Allow to cool and then glaze.

Icing

  • In a bowl whisk milk, and sugar until creamy. Glaze scones & enjoy!
