Candy Drizzled Easter Popcorn
Can you believe that Spring is right around the corner? What seemed like a distant future is now slowly creeping up on the calendar. Today, right now in New England, it feels as if Spring has arrived. However, if you know a thing or two about New England, you know that We can get a mixture of Spring, Summer, and Winter all in one week. I guess my Spring fever kicked in yesterday because after I made a batch of Candy Drizzled Easter Popcorn, I wanted to plant some flowers.
Ok, so we might still have a full month until Spring arrives, but now is the time to celebrate Easter. I love Easter’s real meaning, but the fun chicks, and bunnies are also synonymous with warmer weather and a rebirth. When I went shopping the other day, I was so attracted to the colorful candies that I could not resist buying some. Yes, I might be an early bird but I love this time of year.
Since I am all about simple, I thought this Candy Drizzled Easter Popcorn would be perfect for you all! you can easily recreate it with any colorful candies you might have on hand, but it does require some candy melting skills. Make sure you use candy melts, and a double boiler or microwave to get your candy the perfect, creamy consistency. You want to make sure no water touches your candy melts because it will cease your candy just like magic..haha!
You can use candy melts like these from Amazon or buy some at your local craft store. I always prefer to use kettle corn when I make candy drizzled popcorn because it adds a tasty sweet and savory element.
Here is how you make this fun and east Easter Popcorn treat.
