Double Chocolate Chip Peppermint Cookies is a delicious Christmas cookie hack you can make with refrigerated cookie dough and semi sweet chocolate morsels. It is a perfect dessert to make on a whim.
Cookies are such a classic baked treat this time of year. I know I love making them with my kids, and when they are easy peasy, it is even better.
Yes, like most people I do have those passed down cookie recipes that are traditions, but sometimes it just feels good to cut corners without a taste sacrifice. When I feel like a quick warm, melty, and gooey chocolate chip cookie, I turn to NESTLÉ® TOLL HOUSE.
Because I love cookie hacks, I often use refrigerated cookie dough when I want to whip up a quick batch of cookies. NESTLÉ® TOLL HOUSE Chocolate Morsels, and their refrigerated cookie dough products. Their tube of cookie dough has always been a favorite of my ours.
We love how easy it is to bake up a batch of cookies without the mess! Plus, unlike any other refrigerated cookie dough brand, the cookies come out chewy, and totally yummy!
So, it got me thinking—why not reinvent a holiday classic cookie that is EASY for you all to recreate, and requires minimal mess? Then it hit me, why not make some Double Chocolate Chip Peppermint Cookies using the NESTLÉ® TOLL HOUSE Refrigerated Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough Bar?
Unlike the tube of their cookie dough, this product is even easier to use because each cookie is pre-measured, and bakes up nicely!
After getting my cookies ready to go into the oven (makes 24) I carefully melted a full bag of Semi-Sweet Chocolate morsels. My plan was to get the chocolate nice a creamy for the cookies once they baked, and then cooled.
To keep with the Christmas feel, I’d break up some candy canes and top each cookie with a sprinkle of peppermint.
These Double Chocolate Chip Peppermint Cookies truly do have ALL the delicious flavors of the holidays wrapped up into one decadent treat that was not even hard to make!
I think I dirtied less dishes too because I used parchment paper to line the pans!
