Our Interview with Vinny (author of Keto Guido) & Paola Guadagnino of Jersey Shore. This post contains affiliate links.
Thank you Vinny and Paola for taking the time out of your busy schedules to answer our questions. It was a pleasure to have this opportunity with you both!
Ok, I admit it, Jersey Shore used to be one of my guiltiest pleasures back in the day. I loved catching up with what was going in that chaotic house each week and looked forward to the episodes. When it was over, my husband might have been excited, but a little piece of my life was gone forever.
Nah, just kidding but Vinny Guadagnino was my fav house guest. I love that is was less dramatic than the others and came from a functional family. I admired his Italian cooking machine mom Paola, and wished I had a mom who could cook like that.
When Vinny and his mom Paola appeared on the Great Food Truck race as team Carretto Siciliano I cheered them on from my couch weekly. I just loved the dynamic the Vinny and his mother had together. I was kind of sad when that show was over too, but guess what?
Have you heard that Vinny and Ma Eat America is now on the Cooking Channel. This is one of my #1 cable television channels with only the tastiest programming. I am super excited to catch tonight’s episode of Vinny and Ma Eat America which premieres at 10 pm EST.
What kinds of foods will Vinny and his Italian food loving mom eat on their journey? To get you all excited I asked them these 5 questions:
Paola, what is the craziest thing you have eaten thus far on this trip?
Everything is crazy to me because I never eat anything besides Italian food. But the craziest was probably alligator and Rocky Mountain Oysters. (bull testicles)
Vinny, Do you and your mom always agree on what food you enjoy?
You should be asking if we ever agree. If it isn’t Italian food she doesn’t want to try it.
Vinny, have you always had a love for food? Did you think your life would take this path?
I’m a huge foodie. My mom spoiled me with food my whole life and my entertainment career has allowed me to travel many places and develop loves of new foods. So this is very fitting for me. Plus, I love making people laugh.
Paola, Do you ever think you will have your own cooking show? I think you’d be perfect!
Thank you so much! On this show I actually always made my way into the kitchen. I can’t go a few days without cooking! But my dream would be to have a cooking show. It would have to be my kitchen though!
Both, At the end of the day, does Jersey have the best food?
We’re actually from Staten Island. Jersey has fun “carnival” style food while you are down the shore on the boardwalk. But New York has the best food hands down. Especially Italian and pizza.
