Now that summer is officially tomorrow, out family will be spending tons of time outdoors. With a personal skin cancer scare this past spring, keeping my family sun-safe is one of my top priorities. Now, before my kids head outside for long periods of time they each must have a hat on and sunscreen.
Lately, we have been using dermatologist (for over 15 years), and pediatrician recommend Blue Lizard® Australian Sunscreen Sensitive. The Sensitive variety is paraben-free, chemical-free and fragrance-free.
Since my thee kiddos have very sensitive skin, I love that they have varieties for all of the family. Blue Lizard® is available in several formulations and can be easily found at Walmart stores.
Each product features a unique zinc oxide formulation and provides broad spectrum UVA/UVB protection (SPF30+).
I love the Patented Smart Bottle™ technology because the bottle changes color when exposed to harmful UV sunlight. This helps to remind my children that we have to re-apply their sunscreen every two hours. It will totally come in handy when we hit the road next week for a road trip.
Since the sun will be out in full force now, keeping my kids hydrated is also important. Rather than load them up on sugary drinks with artificial flavors, I prefer providing them with fruit waters. By adding fresh produce, and natural flavors like mint to ice-cold water, my kids are more apt to want to enjoy water.
Today, I am sharing 5 of the Prettiest Fruit Water Ideas Ever
