Pumpkin Pretzel Candy Bark
The fall and Halloween season is one of my favorite times of year for crafting, and creating. Seeing the joy and amazement on my kid’s faces when I served this Pumpkin Pretzel Candy Bark truly made it worthwhile. My kids are still young so they marvel at simple DIYs and recipes that incorporate cute ingredients. The fact that I made this pumpkin candy bark using candy made this recipe a hit in their book!
If you have never made candy bark before, it is probably one of the easiest recipe DIYs ever! There is very little work involved to make this beautiful treat with the exception of getting the candy melt wafers just the right melted consistency. I use the microwave, and melt them in 25 second intervals with a stir in between each. Coconut oil is my best friend in that it makes the melted candies extra creamy.
To make this candy bark extra festive, I used some Pumpkin Pretzels I picked up from World Market. They are actually coated in pumpkin-flavored candy so they were perfect. For the pumpkin stems I used “colorful rainbow candies” in green. I figured they would make a cute stem that was equally tasty.
The beauty of candy bark is that once it has hardened (typically quickly in the fridge) in can be easily broken and bagged up into treat bags. This Pumpkin Pretzel Candy Bark would be great for Halloween parties, or even fall parties since Fall is still in full swing. It is also great for bake sales because you can find the ingredients fairly cheap. A clear cellophane bag and ribbon can tie it together to make cute little gifts/treats.
