Sriracha Cole Slaw & Some Meatless Lunch Ideas #OMGardein
Are you or someone you know living a vegetarian lifestyle or looking for some meatless lunch ideas? If so, I have the perfect new products for you all from Gardein that I recently discovered at my local Stop & Shop market. Gardein (garden + protein) is a plant protein brand offering up versatile foods that are good for both you and the planet. Made with non-GMO ingredients like soy, wheat, ancient grains, and veggies, their foods are tasty and nutritional.
Keeping the whole “trying to be healthier” thing in mind, I have been looking for foods that are protein-rich other than meats. I am not a vegetarian, but I do enjoy eating a diet rich in vegetable-based foods. I try my hardest to get what I need from whole foods but it is not always easy!
Thankfully, Gardein products are an awesome and affordable solution.
My most recent Gardein purchase was the Chipotle Black Bean Burgers and the BBQ Pulled Porkless Pockets. I really love these items because they are so tasty, and truly could have fooled me for being meat!
The BBQ Pulled Porkless Pockets tasted almost identical, if not better than actual pulled pork! I totally enjoyed 2 pockets for lunch with some Sriracha Cole Slaw. It was the perfect pairing that left me satisfied.
Ready in just two minutes in the microwave, even just one of these BBQ Pulled Porkless Pockets is enough to keep me fueled until dinner. Since good BBQ pairs well with cole slaw, I thought making a batch of Sriracha Cole Slaw would be great!
