I am a sucker for a gorgeous cocktail. There is nothing more beautiful than seeing brightly colored mixed drinks on ice in gorgeous, crystal-clear glasses. Add some fruit, a pretty drink stirrer, and straw and I am in love! I am not much of a drinker, but light and fruity cocktails speak my language. I especially love anything that has tropical essences. Pineapple, rum, coconut–these are the flavors that help me to escape to a tropical vacation with every sip.
In fact, this Torani Blue Hawaiian Drink will make you feel like you are on your own personal tropical paradise with a butler whipping up this blue curacao drink.
Ok, so the reality is, chances are we could all use a getaway, but it might not be possible at the moment. Thankfully, Torani can help you easily achieve vacation status with their Blue Curacao flavoring syrup. Just a little goes a long way and will get you this bright, blue drink with the crisp flavors of delicious citrus. I found the Torani Blue Curacao syrup to be perfectly sweet and a crucial component of this Torani Blue Hawaiian Drink.
So this cocktail was tailored to what I had in my bar cart and in my fridge. A few people say you shouldn’t use coconut milk to make these drink, but rather coconut cream. However, I used a high- quality coconut milk (I cannot vouch for the cheaper varieties) and did not have any issues. The key is to add your juices, alcohol, milk, and ingredients to a shaker bottle with ice and shake to blend thoroughly. This is not a cocktail you can add to a glass and stir with a spoon. By adding the ingredients to a shaker, you ensure each is thoroughly blended.
My version of the Torani Blue Hawaiian Drink is as follows:
Ingredients: (per drink)
- 1 oz light rum
- 1 oz Torani Blue Curacao Syrup
- 2 ounces of pineapple juice
- 1 ounce coconut milk
- 1/2 ounce of simple syrup *optional, but good if you prefer a sweeter drink
- Ice cubes
- fresh pineapple & maraschino cherries for garnish
In a drink shaker, add your liquid ingredients and a few cubes to shake thoroughly.
Pour cocktail over ice.
Garnish glass with a straw, fresh pineapple, and a cherry or two.
Enjoy! Here is one for you!
One sip of this gorgeous colored drink ((think Hawaiian beaches) and you will be carried away to a Torani Vacation.
