Why You Should Try Chef’d #GetChefd
Thank you Chef’d for sponsoring today’s post. All views expressed are that of our own.
These days, everyone is about quick and convenient meals. I don’t think I have ever heard someone say: Boy, I would love to meal plan, go food shopping, and spend hours prepping meals.
Maybe there are people out there like that? However, most people I know like easy, and fresh meals. If that sounds like you, you should try Chef’d – the virtual meal store.
In a world where meal planning service companies are becoming the new norm, I think Chef’d has a leg up on most of the competition. For one, they offer more than 300 recipes in 2-4 person servings. Many of the meal service companies I have tried in the past have a seasonal, and limited menu.
When I placed my first order with Chef’d I found the site very easy to use. I loved browsing the countless recipes that could be very easily narrowed down by portion, price, and ingredients. I admit, I invested quite a bit of time finally narrowing down my meal options (because I loved so many), but I settled on the following meals and sides:
- Baked Fish and Chips for 2
- Mama’s Cole Slaw for 8
- Arugula Salad with Gorgonzola Vinaigrette for 2
Each of the meals arrived on the day I planned and were packaged VERY carefully, and neatly inside this box. There was ample packaging to keep my stuff cold and neat too!
I love how the meals are bagged nicely so that I could just place them in the fridge. Other companies I have tried plopped everything loosely into one box and the stuff would get squished. Chef’d kept things mega organized.
While the meals were priced a little more than I would pay in the market, the service, free shipping (orders over $40), and convenience made it feasible. Just having exactly every single ingredient perfectly portioned on hand was much less stressful than trying to remember my list while at the market.
Preparing these meals was also easy, and fun. I love to cook so it taught me some new recipe techniques like using plain cornflakes to bread cod–cool huh?
As far as taste goes, I would have to say my meals were on point. EVERY single one was flavorful and fresh! We used our two meals as a date night meal and skipped out on the same old takeout. The cole slaw was used as a family meal side and was well received.
Overall, if you are on the fence about ordering from Chef’d, I would say go for it! Chef’d meals range from gourmet to family-friendly, indulgent to lighter fare, and quick & easy to chef-in-the-making. There is certainly a meal option for any taste! Plus, guys and girls- these make PERFECT date night meals- pretend you are a chef thanks to Chef’d!

I think it would be great to get a box with all my ingredients for a meal ready to go. I’ll have to try out Chef’d sometime soon. This time of year I’m super busy and this would be such a relief.

My issue with mealtime is having to figure what we are having… I hate that part. This would be awesome for so many reasons, most of all it would mean that I don’t have to come up with an idea!

I’ve never heard of Chef’d! I love these meal services and I definitely need to try Chef’d. I love to cook but some nights… I am tired and I don’t want to shop, prep, etc., so these are such a lifesaver!

I really like how it gives you a list of what you’re going to need for the meal. Sometimes that’s my Achilles Heel of the dinner war, because I’ll get everything ready and then suddenly realize that I’m missing a key element.
I’m going to have to check this out!

I am all for anything that makes my life easier. There are nights that I just have zero motivation to plan and prep a big meal, so this is perfect for me.
