Ingredients

  • 8 New York Bakery® Texas Toast with Real Garlic
  • ½ cup marinara sauce
  • 8 chicken tenders precooked
  • 8 slices mozzarella cheese
  • 1 teaspoon Italian herbs and seasonings
  • salt and pepper *to taste

Instructions

  • If your chicken tenders aren't already cooked, heat them according to package directions. Once ready, set them aside.
  • Arrange the New York Bakery® Texas Toast with Real Garlic in a single layer in your air fryer basket. Air fry at 425°F (220°C) for 6 minutes, or until golden brown.
  • Carefully remove the toasted bread from the air fryer. Using the back of a spoon, gently press an indentation into the center of each toast slice.
  • Spoon an even amount of marinara sauce into the indentation of each toast. Lightly spoon on the sauce with salt and pepper. Place one prepared chicken tender on top of the marinara on each toast. Top each with a slice of mozzarella cheese. Finish by sprinkling with Italian herbs.
  • Return the assembled toasts to the air fryer basket. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes at the same temperature, or until the mozzarella is melted, bubbly, and lightly golden brown.
