Tater Tot Ground Beef Casserole

Ingredients

  • 28 ounces Tater Tots precooked
  • 1 small onion chopped
  • 1 lb. ground beef
  • 1 cup stuffing prepared
  • 8 ounces cream cheese softened
  • 1 1/2 cups sour cream
  • 2 cups cheddar shredded

Instructions

  • Cook tater tots according to the package instructions. While these are baking simultaneously cook your stuffing according to the package instructions.
  • In a small skillet add your onion and beef. Season your ground beef with salt and pepper to taste and cook until browned. Be sure to drain out any excess fat into a tin can, or use a slotted spoon to remove meat. Leave the grease in the pan and clean up once cooled by discarding it into the trash.
  • In a large bowl combine the soup, cream cheese, and sour cream-mix thoroughly.
  • Spray a 9x 13 inch Pyrex with nonstick spray and line the pan with all your tater tots. You might have extras for a little overlapping-that is okay. Add the next layer which will be your meat and onion mixture. Next, spread the soup, cream cheese, sour cream mixture.
  • Finish with your stuffing layer, and finally the cheese. Cover casserole loosely with nonstick foil.
  • Bake for 45 minutes covered. Garnish with chopped parsley if desired.
