17ouncesSister Schubert's Cinnamon Rolls*one package, save icing
½teaspooncinnamon
¼teaspoonnutmeg*optional
Instructions
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Lightly grease an 8x8-inch or 9x9-inch baking dish with butter or non-stick cooking spray.
Spread the can of apple pie filling evenly across the bottom of the prepared baking dish. Dust with an extra pinch of cinnamon and nutmeg if desired.
Arrange the Sister Schubert’s cinnamon buns into bite-sized pieces (or quarters) and scatter them evenly over the apple pie filling layer.
Bake uncovered for 15 to 20 minutes, or until the cinnamon buns are golden brown and cooked through in the center, and the apple filling is bubbling.
Warm the cream cheese icing packet provided with the cinnamon rolls in the microwave for 10 seconds, then drizzle generously all over the warm casserole. Serve warm!
