Valentines Day White Chocolate Covered Apple Slices
Since Christmas is officially over (insert sad face), I am already thinking of the next colorful and fun holiday. Ok, so yes, I do think Valentine’s Day has become a bit commercialized over the years, but I confess, I am addicted to the pinks, reds, and purples! Plus, I love heart shapes so I tend to decorate early on for this fun day.
With the New Year comes new outlooks, choices, and habits. I am a sucker for white chocolate and so are my kids! They honestly love everything and anything chocolate, but I am not a fan of all that sugar. So, like a good mom, I try my hardest to add even more fruits to their diet.
It is no lie, that we adore chocolate covered fruit in this home. It provides just the right amount of sweetness, and freshness, and is not as bad as conventional Valentine’s Day sweet treats.
I love to make my own chocolate covered strawberries, but I had a ton of apples left over from a fruit basket that I didn’t want to go to waste. On a whim, I decided to make Easy Valentines Day White Chocolate Covered Apple Slices.
I stress the “easy: part because they literally took no more than 10 minutes to make. It was about 20 minutes from start to finish before my little ones were officially sampling my colorful creations.
These were a test run with white chocolate because I typically use milk or semi sweet chips. I think they turned out ok even though I ended up sort of ceasing my chocolate towards the end.
Ingredients:

- Valentine’s Day Sprinkles
Here are some additional material you will need to make your Easy Valentines Day White Chocolate Covered Apple Slices:
- ceramic bowl
- fork & spoon
- Valentine’s Day Sprinkles
- baking sheet lined with parchment paper
Directions:
In a microwave set on med heat, microwave your chocolate in 20 second intervals until smooth and creamy. You will want to stir between each 20 seconds. Prepare a baking sheet with parchment paper, and get your sprinkles, and silverware out.
Make sure your apple slices are patted dry to absorb any excess moisture. I got a little into my chocolate and it ceased it a bit.
Dip each slice in and pick up with your fork and spoon; shake off excess chocolate and place each slice on the parchment sheet.
Sprinkle your Valentines Day sprinkles on each wedge and have fun with the designs.
Place wedges in a cool place (fridge) to cure, and enjoy them with your loved ones! These make great gifts for loved ones, and are sure to make your family smile.
