DIY Frozen Garlic Bread
Making your own frozen garlic bread slices that are similar to Texas style toast is simple and easy! Check out the ingredients you will need on-hand below!
Ingredients for Frozen Garlic Bread Slices
- Large French or Italian style bread loaf
- Butter, softened
- pinch of salt
- Italian spices
- Garlic powder or minced garlic
You will also need a parchment-lined baking sheet, knife, pastry brush, and freezer bags to freeze bread.
How to Make Frozen Garlic Bread Slices
Butter
- Add the softened butter, spices, and garlic to a small bowl. Mix together to incorporate the flavors.
Garlic Bread
- Slice bread about 1 inch in thickness and repeat until your loaf is sliced.
- Line bread slices on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
- Using a pastry brush, or small spatula coat each slice of bread with the butter mixture.
- Slide baking sheet into the freezer with the toast on it.
- Allow to freeze for 30 minutes or longer.
- Take out frozen slices and put them into freezer bags.
How to Heat up Frozen Garlic Bread Slices
To heat frozen garlic bread slices, simply preheat oven to 425 degree fahrenheit.
Place frozen toast slice on a baking sheet.
Bake 5-7 minutes on the middle rack turning slices at the 3 minute mark.
Enjoy warm with some soup or a salad!
But, like most, I am sometimes too busy to prep my own garlic bread of texas toast. So, one day I decided to make my own frozen garlic bread slices.
As mentioned, my soup went well with some garlic bread. Our family loves frozen garlic bread slices but I do not always love the fact that most have extra fillers in them that we do not need. So, being the ambitious person I am, I decided to make my own Frozen Garlic Bread Slices.
How to Make Frozen Garlic Bread Slices
Ingredients

- 4 tbsps butter softened
- 1 teaspoon Italian herbs and spices
- ¼ teaspoon salt omit if you use salted butter
- ½ tablespoon garlic powder or minced garlic
