Chocolate Chip Banana Bars

- 5 small ripe bananas mashed, or 3 large
- ¾ cup light brown sugar
- ¼ cup vegetable oil
- ¼ cup whole milk
- 2 large eggs
- 1 ¾ cups unbleached flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- ½ teaspoon kosher salt
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1 cup chocolate chips
Preheat oven to 350℉.
Using a banana masher, mash your bananas in a large bowl.
In the same bowl, add your eggs, milk, oil, and sugar.
Combine well with a wooden spoon.
Add in the salt, baking soda, and flour; combine well with a spoon.
Fold in the chocolate chips into the batter.
Grease a 15 x 10 jelly roll pan and pour in batter.
Bake for 22 minutes. Edges will be golden brown. Use a toothpick to test the center of the bars to determine if they are fully baked. It should come out clean when inserted, and removed.
Freezing Instructions
Allow bars to fully cool. Place entire baking sheet in the freezer for 2 hours. Once bars are solid, cut them into squares using a knife. Store in an airtight bag for up to 1 month.
