Classic Coney Island Meat Sauce

Ingredients

  • 2 pounds 80/20 ground beef *can use a leaner % if you wish.
  • 1 large white onion finely diced
  • 1 tablespoon chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon celery seed
  • ½ teaspoon onion powder
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • ½ teaspoon sea salt
  • 1 teaspoon pepper
  • 1 cup ketchup
  • ¼ cup white, distilled vinegar
  • ½ cup prepared yellow mustard
  • ½ cup granulated sugar
  • 2 tablespoons worcestershire sauce

Instructions

  • In a large skillet, fry your hamburger meat and onion until full cooked; drain excess fat drippings
  • Set a crock pot to low and put the meat mixture in there along with all the spices, and sauces.
  • Slow cook on low heat for at least 2 hours; stirring occasionally.
  • Serve warm over your favorite hot dogs or over rice.
