Coconut Shrimp Crostini Appetizer is a delicious shrimp appetizer that is both sweet & savory. These coconut shrimp bites are the perfect party snack and are quick to assemble. This post is sponsored by Gorton’s.

Holiday entertaining is in full swing. With Thanksgiving already next week, I know many of you all are probably looking for some easy shrimp appetizers.
By now, you all know I love sweet & savory appetizers so I thought it would be fun to share a recipe for Coconut Shrimp Crostini Appetizer.

Coconut Shrimp is one of my hands down favorite appetizers. I love to get it at restaurants, but also love that I can enjoy it at home. Gorton’s Seafood makes that possible thanks to their Crunchy Butterfly Coconut Shrimp Recipe.

I was inspired by this recipe to make my own take on coconut shrimp that I knew my family would equally love.

Since Crostini is such an easy appetizer for the holidays, I knew I wanted to use that as my base. I used Italian bread rounds and coated them with melted butter, garlic powder, and Italian herbs.

These crostini rounds were toasted until crispy before I smeared them with cream cheese.

The addition of cream cheese brings a nice balance to this shrimp appetizer, and pairs so well with the sweet orange marmalade.

To play on the coconut shrimp aspect, I added sweetened coconut flakes to the orange marmalade along with a tiny bit of red pepper sauce for a little jolt.

Imagine how delicious the perfectly golden crunch of the Gorton’s Butterfly Shrimp is with the sweet & savory cream cheese, and marmalade pairing.

It is no wonder why these Deconstructed Coconut Shrimp Crostini flew off the counter after I made them. I just know my holiday guests will enjoy them too!

A few things to note- these do taste GREAT at room temperature so do not feel like you need them to be hot off the press.

Gorton’s Butterfly Shrimp is my preference for size and appearance, but they also have Gorton’s Popcorn Shrimp which can equally work well. You would just need 3 pieces per toast.

What are some holiday appetizers you are excited to try?
Please let me know how you like this appetizer if you try it in the comments!
