Summer dinners around here are all about tasty, easy, and convenient choices. We love frozen foods and are not afraid to admit it.
Have you tried American Flatbread Pizza?
It is a fact that times have changed so much, and a frozen meal is no longer equates to a t.v. dinner. These days, you can get some truly upscale and tasty frozen foods from brands like American Flatbread.
American Flatbread produces some of the tastiest frozen pizzas, hands-down. They are a local to New England company (which I love) and have a variety of wood-fired, premium flat bread pizzas.
Just one bite of their tasty, premium crust and you will be hooked! I love that it is made from organically-grown wheat.
And the scrumptious sauce, that is is made of organic ingredients like carrots, celery, onions, red wine, and olive oil.
Some of my favorite include the Ionian Awakening, Tomato Sauce and Three Cheese, and the Cheese & Herb varieties.
They make excellent quick dinner for Jared and me, or quick fixes for the kids. I love how crispy the crust bakes up, and how premium the flavors are.
Honestly, they do not even taste like frozen pizzas once they are baked up!
So scrumptious!!
I really enjoy every flavor I have tried but the Ionian Awakening is so delicious and features all the Mediterranean flavors we love on one pizza.
However, the flavor I buy most is the Cheese & Herb because that is what my kiddos prefer. These pizzas are quite possibly the BEST pizzas on their own. I love the unique, wood-fired crust and savory flavor combinations this brand has. They are perfect on their own, but are also excellent with additional toppings.
Grilled Pineapple & Ham Pizza Hack
One day, we had extra grilled pineapple leftover from a meal side. We didn’t have much left over to create another meal, but we had the perfect amount left to jazz up a frozen cheese pizza!
It was then that this became a regular occurance. I mean, have you ever grilled pineapple before? It really is the perfect fruit to grill!!
To easily am some extra tastiness to a frozen pizza, you can also add thin sliced deli ham, (or grilled ham steaks) and some slightly salty feta to marry the flavors perfectly! Check out what we used for 1 pizza. You can easily multiply the ingredients if you are preparing more than one pizza!
- 2 slices of deli ham cut into small pieces
- 1/2 cup grilled pineapple chunks
- 1/4 cup feta cheese
Simply top your pizza with all of the above ingredients before baking and bake according to the box instructions. Since they are already cooked (ham & pineapple) it makes them a perfect topping choice!
