Trying to eat more wholesome foods and manage and well-balanced diet can get really hard. I especially find it difficult this time of year. Foods that are overly indulgent, and rich are some of my specialties, but I am trying to venture into more wholesome cooking. Getting my vitamins in through my foods or by supplements is one of the first steps I am taking for a better me.
I admit I am one of those people who have a pantry stocked with supplements. I have some for my skin, hair, eyes, nails, circulation, bones-the list goes on. However, having vitamins on-hand and taking vitamins are two different issues for me. I might have the most supplements on the block, but taking them is the hard part.
That is why I need to get into the habit of taking my vitamins and supplements like Nature Made® Vitamin D3 2000 IU Tablets. Vitamin D is one of the most important vitamins our bodies need.
Did you know that 90% of US population does not meet their daily vitamin D needs¹? Vitamin D helps improve calcium absorption† and Vitamin D supports bone, teeth, muscle, and immune health†. You can find it in the Vitamin aisle at Walmart.
Pretty amazing stuff, huh? That is why it is super important to live a well-balanced lifestyle, and make sure you are getting your Vitamin D in!
Nature Made® offers several levels of Vitamin D at Walmart, including Nature Made® Vitamin D3 2000IU Tablet and Nature Made® Vitamin D3 5000IU Softgel. The 5000IU high dose product is intended for those deficient in Vitamin D as determined and recommended by their physician.
Did you know that Salmon is also rich in Vitamin D? It is a superfood that is super nutritious for our bodies. My husband and I prefer wild-caught salmon which has a ruby red, thinner flesh than farm-raised. It is so easy to prepare, and taste amazing baked in the oven.
Lately, I have been on a sweet and savory kick. I love the combination of honey and garlic so I decided to use a similar recipe I created for chicken wings on my salmon.
Honey Garlic Baked Salmon is super amazing, juicy, and contains the absolute perfect flavor profile to complement the mild salmon. Honey and garlic are also considered to be superfoods so this recipe provides a power-packed, tasty, nutritional boost.
It took me no more than 30 minutes to prep and cook this fresh meal.
Paired with a baked sweet potato and you have the ideal holiday meal or post-workout fuel. I use to be so good about hitting the gym daily, and I have slacked for months–that is a whole other blog post!
